In the year of Leo Tolstoy's 190 anniversary, the literature of the great Russian writer and the TolstoY Generation exhibition about his life and work will be presented at the annual Cyprus book festival.
Within the framework of the annual Book Festival, which will be held in the park of Akropolis in Nicosia (Strovolos) 19-20 in May 2018, the literature of the great Russian writer Leo Tolstoy will be presented in Russian and Greek, as well as Leo Tolstoy's books adapted for children.
In addition, the TolstoY Generation exposition will be placed in the exhibition area located at the bottom of the Acropolis park, telling about interesting and little-known facts from the life and work of Leo Tolstoy in a language that is accessible to modern generations.
Exhibition opening hours: 19 May (from 10: 00 to 21: 00), 20 May (from 10: 00 to 20: 00).
20 May 16: 00 specialists of the Museum-estate "Yasnaya Polyana", in which the author of such world-famous novels as "War and Peace" and "Anna Karenina lived and worked, will give an open lecture about Leo Tolstoy for everyone who will participate in the festival.
Each of the days of the Festival will end with a concert program. During the festival, a rich intellectual program is planned, presentations of books by Cypriot, Greek and European authors will be organized, open-air reading rooms, book fairs will be organized. For children a separate entertaining and educational program is provided, available throughout the festival.
