The Department of Urban Planning of Cyprus approved the application of ATUM Developments Ltd for the development of a plot of land in Geroskipou.
The resolution of PAF / 412 / 2017 concerns the construction of buildings in the eastern part of the site belonging to the Archdiocese of Cyprus. The Department of Antiquities, after thoroughly studying the issue and searching for traces of antique artifacts on the site, has no objection to the construction.
As stated in the official statement of the company, ATUM Developments Ltd intends to build a residential complex of two 12-storey buildings for 122 apartments, which is part of the Peninsula Resort project. In addition, it is planned to build a five-star hotel-resort, in connection with which the company has already filed a separate application. It should be noted that the Peninsula Resort project is being implemented in parallel with another major ATUM project in the area, Eden City Cyprus, where investors are currently negotiating with the Cypriot authorities.
It is noted that the western side of the site on which the construction of the hotel is planned will first be carefully studied and investigated by the Department of Antiquities for the presence of valuable artifacts there.
