Russian-speaking residents in Cyprus from the very beginning demonstrated a high ability for self-organization and independent systematic work to preserve Russian culture, Russian language, spiritual traditions and way of life. Due to the absence at the time (from the end of 80 - the beginning of the 90-ies of the last century) of an effective system of state support for compatriots, this activity was carried out exclusively on personal enthusiasm and on a personal initiative.
In many respects, the great system work that is being done in this direction on the island has become possible thanks to the sponsorship of a number of Russian businessmen in Cyprus.
In this line, one can not but distinguish the activities of businessman Vyacheslav Zarenkov and the fund "The Creating World" created by him, which in recent years has made a tremendous contribution to the development of cultural and spiritual ties between Russia and Cyprus, the strengthening of the high image of Russia and the Russian compatriot, and also promotes cultural and spiritual rallying of Russian-speaking people in Cyprus.
In less than two years, thanks to the efforts of V. Zarenkov and Vladyka Isaiah, it was possible to build a beautiful temple complex near Nicosia - the Russian Church of St. Andrew the First-Called and all the saints in the Russian land beamed. The temple is built on personal funds of Vyacheslav Zarenkov. He was one of the first to support the project of the Mayor of Limassol on the establishment of Victory Park in Limassol. I can say, being personally acquainted with this family, that they can not but do good and charity takes a huge place in their life.
We will try to describe in more detail the activities of the Fund in the Republic of Cyprus on the pages of the newspaper "Herald of Cyprus" in September this year.
Now we publish an article about the activities of V. Zarenkov and his Foundation, written by the famous St. Petersburg TV host, journalist Valery Tatarov, who visited the festival of Greco-Slavic arts "KipRus - 2018" organized by V. Zarenkov and his team.
It seems to us that the questions raised by Valery Tatarov, about the coverage of charitable activities, about people who unselfishly conduct this work and which require great devotion, selfless service to the cause, seem very relevant and close to us and deserves the highest appreciation and public recognition.
So, for example, today in Cyprus at 13 times is the Cyprus-Russian festival, in which about 1500 artists take part. The festival is always opened personally by the President of the Republic of Cyprus. It seems to us that there is no analogue to such an event in Europe, but there are practically no reports in the Russian media on this matter.
We are pleased to be able to talk about the best representatives of Russian business, who today really support and preserve Russian culture, spirituality and art in all its manifestations, support well-known and beginning talented artists.
We are still here and there in the world continue to love. For example, they still love in South America, Greece, Czech Republic, Serbia. In Cyprus, the days of the Greco-Slavic arts "KipRus 2018" have just passed with great success. Guests from Russia there literally wore on their hands. But you will never know about it. Because the festival was organized by a private person - a businessman known in St. Petersburg. And this is considered advertising. Who is considered to be? And our media, which themselves do not do anything to advertise their country abroad, but are vigilant to ensure that good news about love of Russia is not printed free of charge. Only on prepayment! ... As it turned out that for good news you have to pay money, but a lot of bad things we get absolutely free of charge
One of the guests of the days of Greco-Slavic arts "KipRus 2018" was, as it is not strange, and Metropolitan Ignatius of Argentina and South America (Pologrudov). His Eminence overcame such a long way for good reason. He went after the morning service between the festive people, listened to the Greek speech that was not familiar to him, and could not rejoice at what he managed to realize here with the help of a patron of art from Russia. And about what while to dream it is impossible in South America. His transatlantic metropolis is the largest in the world diocese of the ROC. Near 30 orthodox parishes are scattered throughout the continent. But that's not even the problem. More than 600-from thousands of Russian people do not have the opportunity to maintain their identity, and therefore be happy, being separated from Russian culture, customs and Orthodox churches. Here also came Bishop Ignatius to Cyprus, to see with his own eyes how it is possible to maintain an atmosphere of complete mutual understanding and love between people of different nationalities and cultures. "In fact, here came the dream of the unity of people around the name and image of Christ," said Vladyka. - A chorus! Have you heard this choir? They do not sing - they pray! .. »
What struck the bishop, who had seen it, to South America, who cared for the Orthodox parishes scattered across the vast expanses of the Far North and the Far East? Obviously, something that almost no one does where the Russians have lived for many years and even generations, never ceasing to be "guests" and "emigrants". After all, the Orthodox church is like a spiritual embassy of Russia. Here its territory. And here - at home. Here it is possible not to be a "guest", but to receive guests yourself. "When I was here at a sermon in a new church in honor of Andrew the First-Called and all the saints in the Russian land beamed, said to the parishioners that I regret that I can not, like the apostles, enter my word into the hearts of all those gathered, I suddenly heard from the multilingual flock words spoken, albeit with an accent, but in Russian: "We understand you!" This makes you want to cry ... "
It is difficult to hear such a dialogue outside the church. More than 50-thousands of Russians living in Cyprus, in recent years feel a special spiritual connection with the historical homeland. Not only services are held in the new church, but also meetings, many thousands of holidays, such as "KipRus". Divine services are performed in Slavonic, and the sermon sounds in Russian and Greek. The very fact of this fills the everyday life of Russians, Cypriots and local multilingual diasporas with a completely different content. The presence of Russia in this way is designated in Cyprus very specific and unusual in the context of all the events that the present Europe is full of.
The idea of the first Russian church in the village of Episkopio and its exact copy in St. Petersburg arose from the honored builder of Russia Vyacheslav Zarenkov and the Metropolitan of Tamasso and Orihinsky Isaiah as a place of power as a symbol of rallying people around Christian values as an alternative to thoughtless life for the sake of "unified bread".
We have lost over the past decades one humanitarian foreign position after another. Ukraine is the most vivid negative example of how the Russian world first weakened its presence there, and then it was defeated, yielding to Russophobia and other people's values. Kazakhstan and even Belarus are emphatically distancing themselves from the Russian world. But we are still loved and waiting in Slavic Europe, especially in Serbia, Greece, Hungary. Less is in Bulgaria and the Czech Republic. But they are waiting. Multimillion South America has a strong sympathy for Russia. They did not forget the help of the Russians, the training of specialists for the national economy, solidarity in the struggle against the American dictatorship and the power of crime. The Latinos are similar to the Russians because they remember the good and are waiting for our return. The answer to these aspirations is our duty. The consolidation of Russia's interests in other countries is our "soft power". The construction of temples where Russians live is a great spiritual mission for the affirmation of the Good. This, if you will, is our response to the Russophobia planting in the world and attempts to turn Russia into an "outcast country". That is why it is difficult to overestimate what Vyacheslav Zarenkov is doing in his foreign and domestic projects. It is no coincidence that the chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, said, participating in the celebrations in Cyprus on the occasion of the opening of the first Russian church, that "he very much hopes that this church will become an example, and in other metropolies Russian churches will also be built." In a conversation with Metropolitan Hilarion, I clarified: "Is it only about the church side of the matter?" "Of course, the eucharistic unity for us, the representatives of the church is important. But, if you look at the temple construction wider, then after all the temples are also symbols of the spiritual unity of the people. And for people torn from their homeland - it's also a part of Russia. They really need it. Russian people want a temple nearby and that they can pray in it. "
Now about the sad. Somehow it so happened that once voted for capitalism, we never fell in love with the capitalists. Maybe it's all from envy? Or from the perestroika fallacy that under capitalism all will become "capitalists"? In the May Day theses of Communists, we read: "In today's Russia, the two hundred richest people have raised capital by almost five hundred billion dollars. This is thirty trillion rubles. In fact, they own capital greater than the reserves of the Central Bank and the savings of all citizens of our country. " What here "love"?
Family people are well aware of what irreversible revolutionary consequences result from the so-called. "Delayed anger." Therefore, for safety reasons and simply to save the family, it is better for the spouses to be pronounced. But even better - to live in a family honestly. A default on the true causes of economic inequality and the sources of superannuation of the overwhelming minority in Russia is fraught with social upheavals and a riot of a deceived majority. But the same consequences can lead to a silence about the noble deeds and social responsibility of wealthy people.
In a healthy society, the rich should not constantly be suspected of stealing and artificially endow them with guilt for someone else's poverty. To share, of course, it is necessary. But a rich man hated by society is unlikely to want to share with society some of what he has acquired. Life teaches us to fight against poverty, not against the rich. Then we have a chance in the future not to explode from within.
What do the young people dream about? Basically, it's about financial success. In the absence of any other idea, other than the idea of money, so it is. This is not bad and not good. "Not we such, Life is such". But what is really bad is that financial success is perceived by many as an end in itself. Young people are unlikely to understand what the father of the richest Russian family, Yu.M., meant. Luzhkov, when, sighing under the weight of his acquired, he said: "It would seem that everything now we have ... But there is no happiness" ... Nobody explains the causes of happiness as an inseparable connection of the material with the spiritual.
It is appropriate to recall the origin of the Russian word "wealth". This is something given by God. The answer in the word. When the possessor of wealth loses touch with God, that is, ceases to do good and allows lies in his life, he ceases to be happy. And if the church people do not need to explain what "blessed are the poor in spirit", and why "the merciful will be pardoned", then young children and girls are unlikely to understand from the words why all the Orthodox and mostly wealthy officials and deputies admit the poverty of the elderly in the country and modest salaries of nurses and teachers. But many of the guys heard that "it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven." Indeed, we are treated like the rich, like those loaded "camels": "Look! Nahapali! "... And only the most meticulous of the young know that the" camel "in biblical times was called" thick rope "or" ship rope ", which in fact can not be passed through the eye of a needle. And this means that for happiness, i.e. bliss ... you need to become thinner! This is the whole point. You have to work with people more slowly. Rough, i.e. thick-skinned Kingdom of Heaven will not inherit ... If, of course, there is such a task.
At us for some reason it is accepted to consider, that a way to rescue - business especially individual. Just for some reason, all the media, as if from a chain broke, to prevent this "individual" rescue of everyone who watches TV and listens to the radio. They push society intensely to sin, replicating as a norm of life endless consumption, vulgarity, immorality and selfishness. That is, we will be saved individually, and we must all sink together? Under the friendly neigh of entertainment media? A special place in this coven of idle insanity is found in the images of businessmen such as Polonsky, Chichvarkin, Durov, the adventures of Nasty Rybka and Deripaska's oligarch. What kind of respect for the rich can we talk about, if we take the example of these "gentlemen"? It's time to remember the popular saying "I've made money but I have no mind".
In this place I would like to return to the activities of the builder, businessman and patron Vyacheslav Zarenkov, who among the few "colleagues" sets an example of a different way of life and other treatment of wealth. This is a type of wealthy man, known in Russia since the 19 century, thanks to which science, art, spiritual life is supported. Such people experience literally the physical need to do good. There is a well-known phenomenon of the Sibiryakov gold miners, who could not but do good. The more they sacrificed for different needs, the more they arrived. A truly wealthy person who understands that, besides labor, the cause of wealth is still a willingness to charity, literally a day can not live to not help someone actively and in essence. Support, participation, advice and, of course, - ruble. Probably and most likely, so many people do. But we do not know anything about this. For the same reasons that we mentioned above: the editor and media owners, trying to earn on everything, believe that if good news is connected with the rich, then they should pay for them.
Help patron and philanthropist Vyacheslav Zarenkov left afloat and saved literally from the poverty and oblivion of many and many famous Russian actors, musicians, artists and singers. If you knew their names, you would be surprised. They are seen, heard, appreciated by the public, but do not know to whom it owes it. After all, all the media are silent about this, considering the news about the charity of the rich PR for which you have to pay. But the philanthropist does not simply participate in the lives of worthy people who need support, but also creates a precedent. Zarenkov is one of the few rich people who correctly understood as a guide to the action the well-known expression "We must support talents, and the behemoths will get through themselves." Seriously, many crippled and sick people in St. Petersburg and beyond have received help from him, at the cost of their lives. His charitable work on a scale can be compared with the work of entire departments and committees of ministries of social protection, culture and foreign affairs combined. But, if you ask the media editors why they do not write about it, they will immediately reply to you without hesitation: "This is PR and advertising." Advertising of what? .. The logic here, though understandable, but profoundly vicious - "if the builder helps the patient, then he is thinking about the growth in sales of the apartments he built." Roughly speaking, if you love people, it means that you need something from them. Now, truly, everyone judges others in the measure of their depravity ...
As a result, disinterested love for most people becomes an empty occupation. "Well, bent!" - say you and you will be wrong. Look around you. And you will see that good deeds have gradually ceased to be the norm. Remember how everyone was surprised that the taxi drivers did not take money on the day of the terrorist attack in the St. Petersburg metro? But this is - n or m atal! But we admired this, like a feat. There is a law of society: society acts in one way or another in direct dependence on the frequency of actions repeated in society. Bad society produces bad deeds. A good society generates the kindness of people. Only for this reason it is necessary to "advertise" kindness, encouraging people to change for the better. But if there is no image of a good deed, then there is no imitation. It would seem that everything is simple. But journalists are unaware that the advertising of worthy deeds of worthy people is not only not connected with profit, but also is salutarily useful to society.
People's Artist of Russia Vladimir Konkin who also came to Cyprus, to Tomassos these days, said: "I do not know what a person feels, who not only built a temple on his money, but also made so that thousands and thousands of people gathered around him different nationalities! .. I just can not imagine what happens at such moments in the human soul. I'm just delighted with such deeds and deeds. And I continue to believe in people. "
Vyacheslav Zarenkov reflected the meaning of his social position in the name of the fund "The Creating World". It is better and not call what is in everyone's strength: build your world. And there you look, and the norm of good will return to all. And here artists, musicians, writers and poets from St. Petersburg go by cities and towns, by countries and continents, draw, sing, dance and ... talk about Russia. But still Zarenkov builds Orthodox churches in other countries.
What's happening? And here's what. Many Serbs, Bulgarians, Greeks, Cypriots began to treat Russians and Russians differently only because they witnessed and participated in the projects of Vyacheslav Zarenkov's spirit-lifting projects. It is thanked by thousands of people living in Europe, presidents, Western and domestic celebrities. For having opened for them anew Russia. He instilled hope that the creation of the world can stop its destruction. Tell me honestly, when you read this, you do not creep into the idea that the author advertises someone's business for money? Or, after all, the author worries about the reputation of his homeland, which the world's largest media are trying to pour mud on, to cause contempt for Russians, especially wealthy ones?
The conclusion is simple. If most of our rich, having all the possibilities for this, promoted the interests of the Russian world in the same way as the honored builder of Russia, Zarenkov, then we would certainly be stronger now. It is a fact. But we open the newspapers, we include TV channels, and there is not a line about the events described above.
Of course, this person can not but cause envy, along with admiration. About Zarenko, therefore, write from time to time muck. Especially kindling of their authors is his temple construction. A large English edition came out with another program article about the "private church in Cyprus", built as "justification for unjust money." "It's unaccustomed to me," Zarenkov marvels, "to convince bad people that the construction of the Temple is unselfish and with a pure heart. This is in response to the publication in the English newspaper, The Times ... But as you know, good wins evil .... It will be so! "It is clear when the muck writes the British" The Timees ", which has its interest in the form of an order for discredit a decent business in Russia. But it is not clear why the muck about the man, whose charitable programs involve thousands of people across Russia and Europe, replicate Russian and even St. Petersburg media. Also an order? And what else can I explain?
I stress once again the tendency of spreading a dangerous delusion. "Even if the rich do something good, he still can not count on the good attitude of society and the media. Only with a prepayment! "
That is why the already small philanthropists in Russia are in duty of conscience, not for PR, doing their work for the state: they repair the wounded, save the incurable, support science, art, education and even build police stations, but ... are forced to carefully hide all this. Because it will be perceived by society as an "excuse", and secondly: the state will cling to the "hand giving", to gnaw at her fingers to the very elbow. Because the tax authorities in good deeds see not noble impulses, not a hope of salvation, but a signal that someone has got "extra money". The state, misinterpreting Pushkin, ordered "to choke beautiful impulses" ...
If there is censorship of money and the need for prepayment for news of good, then who will create precedents for this nobility? How, then, should one educate in youth respect for the desire to share, to the unselfishness of an act that a person was not obliged to perform, but did?
