In Europe, the image of Russia-enemy was formed, this is a wrong image. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Nikos Kotzias, speaking on Wednesday with a lecture to students and teachers of MGIMO.
"I think that the wrong image of Russia has formed in Europe, allegedly an enemy who poses a threat, can attack," the minister said.
He also recalled that his country, along with Cyprus, did not join the wave of expulsion of Russian diplomats in connection with the poisoning of ex-colonel GRU Sergey Skripal and his daughter Julia in Salisbury. "We did not participate in this scandal, because we are sure that Russia, on the contrary, should become the house of general security," explained Kotzias.
"Russia and the European Union should agree, because we need a common security system with the Russian Federation, and not against the Russian Federation," the Greek minister concluded.
