President Nicolas Papadopoulos DICKO announced the names of six candidates who will be on the ballot of the party. Their candidates for MEPs presented and AKEL party. They were Neoclis Silikiotis (former Interior Minister), Stavros Evagoras (member of parliament from AKEL), Takis Hadjigeorgiou (now MEP), Panagiotis Stavrinidis (academician), Vera Polycarp (a member of AKEL) and Haris Polycarp (a member of AKEL).
