Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan criticized the US reaction to the contract for the supply of Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems to Turkey.
Addressing the mayors of Turkey's cities in Ankara, Erdogan said that Turkey will continue to independently take measures to ensure its security.
"They started yelling when we agreed to buy C-400. And what, should we wait for you? We take our own measures and take them further. We are the owners in our own house, "Erdogan said.
The President of Turkey added that after the US and Israeli refusal to supply military drones to Turkey, Ankara developed and started releasing them, which caused "concern" for these countries.
Recall, in July, Erdogan said that the documents for the delivery of C-400 and their joint production were signed. It was reported that Turkey will buy two S-400 SAMs for 2,5 billion dollars.
12 September Erdogan said that Ankara made the first payment for Russian anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) C-400.
Earlier, the US expressed dissatisfaction with Turkey's decision to purchase from Russia S-400.
