Greece intends to colonize the island in the eastern Aegean Sea

The Greek government is taking steps to move a series of small islands in the eastern Aegean Sea, in order to avoid territorial claims in the region of Ankara, writes newspaper Kathimerini.

The plan is set out in the document presented in Parliament the Deputy Minister of Shipping and island policy Nektarios Santoriniosom. He suggests several measures and small-scale projects on 28 islands, including the construction of lighthouses and military outposts, infrastructure for shepherds and fishermen.

According to the newspaper, Turkey previously called into question the sovereignty of Greece on several uninhabited islands in the eastern Aegean Sea.
