Amazingly, how quickly things online - analysts have changed their opinion on the possibility of war between Turkey and Russia. I remember, about fifteen years ago, I published articles in which he wrote that the war between the two countries is inevitable. What I then plunges obstruction. And Turkey is our friend, the main partner, five minutes a member of EurAsEC and CSTO, our future gas hub, we are there all the rest, we eat their vegetables and wear their clothes. I was accused, almost in the West as it seeks to drive a wedge into this having no analogues in the world of "friendship".
And it was not long, and the same people radically changed their minds and do not see an alternative to war. But analysts continue to consider themselves fully understand all the intricacies of modern geopolitics.
In fact, in our infosphere there is not one analyst, there are only publicists. The main difference between the analyst and the publicist is that the latter takes into account only one or two main factors, and the analyst works with a huge array of information, both open and closed. And often the amount of information that is closed significantly exceeds the amount of information that is open. Therefore, as if for some it was not offensive, in our infosphere there are no analysts, some publicists. Because if they were analysts, they would write their analytical reviews not in open spaces, but in closed state and semi-public organizations.
Any article on information resources, primarily journalistic, no matter in which section of the resource it gets, "Analytics" or "Humor". And the reproach of the author is that he is so stupid that it is not taken into account in an article such and such and such factors are also very stupid.
"Do not shoot the pianist - he plays as best he can!" (C)
This is what happened to one of my recent articles of the Second Middle East Russian gambit.
I got a full range of reviews, from "rubbish and nonsense" to "very beautiful version of" and "and all it was." However, very few people understand the basic idea in this article:
"In the Russian infosphere reigns full range of explanations why Putin and Russia got involved in the war in Syria - on the groans of the defeat, plum Russia and New Russia, the collapse of the economy to the jingoistic slogans about the brotherhood of peoples, the historical mission of Russia, the protection of all good people, and the world worldwide. But no one really knows, but in reality - for what?
The president himself speaks about international peace, law, protection of the existing world order from chaos, protection of economic interests of Russia, the fight against international terrorism and the protection of it Russian. The objectives of the right, good and reasonable. But precisely because of the fact that so many of them, and it seems that none of them is not decisive in the decision.
Of course, there is one main goal, which does not recognize the many experts and analysts in the near future. If you will ever know. "
And do not know, for one simple reason: lack of access to private sources of information and not enough deep work with the public.
Now one of the main, but rarely mentioned, geopolitical factors is fresh water. Access and control over the sources of fresh water is a major cause of most conflicts.
Everyone remembers how quickly and bloodily such a prosperous country as Libya has become a chaotic territory. The infosphere then abounded with probable causes of these events. They also called oil control, and the creation by Colonel Gaddafi of the "gold dinar" for settlements in Africa, which undermines the hegemony of the US dollar, and the sharpening of technologies of orange revolutions in the form of "Arab spring" in Libya, and the creation of an army of Islamic terrorists on its territory with the possibility of its transfers to any region of the world. In the forecasts there was no shortage. And only one reason, one of the most important, did not indicate the media and the infosphere - control over fresh water.
And in Libya, Colonel Gaddafi has carried out the biggest project, the eighth wonder of the world, entered in the Guinness Book of Records - "Great Man-Made River» (The Great Manmade River, GMR).
The Great Man-Made River - a complex network of water mains that supplies the desert areas and the coast of Libya with water from the Nubian aquifer. By some estimates it is the largest engineering project of the existing. This huge system of pipes and aqueducts, which also includes more wells deeper than 1300 500 meters, supplies the city of Tripoli, Benghazi, Sirte and other supplying 6 500 000 m & sup3; drinking water per day. In 2008, the Guinness Book of Records recognized the Great Man-Made River the largest irrigation project in the world.
About this project Libya international media were silent, and, among other things, the project exceeds the largest construction projects. Its cost 25 billion dollars.
Banknote 20 dinars a Great Man-Made River
Even in the years 80-Gaddafi began a large-scale project to create a network of water resources, which should reach Libya, Egypt, Sudan and Chad. By the beginning of the war in Libya, the project was almost implemented. The problem was, I must say, for all historical North African region, because the water problem is relevant here since Phoenician. And, more importantly, on a project that could transform the whole of North Africa in the blooming garden, it was not spent a single cent from the IMF. It is with the latter fact, some analysts link the current destabilization of the situation in the region.
In the south of Libya, located four giant underground water tank (oases of Kufra, Sirt, Morzuk and Hamada). According to some reports they contain on average 35 000 cube. kilometers (!) of water. To present this amount is enough to imagine the whole territory of Germany, a huge lake 100 meters deep. These water resources are, no doubt, represent a separate interest. And, perhaps, it is more than an interest in Libyan oil.
This water project by its scale was called the "Eighth Wonder of the World". It provides current per day - 6,5 million cubic meters of water across the desert, greatly increasing the area of irrigated land. 4 thousand kilometers of pipes buried from the heat deep into the earth. Underground water swings over 270 mines from hundreds of meters of depth. The cubic meter of the purest water from Libyan tanks, taking into account all the costs, could cost 35 cents. This cost is roughly comparable to the cost of a cubic meter of cold water in Moscow. If you take the cost of a European cubic meter (about 2 euros), then the value of water reserves in Libyan tanks is 58 billion euros.
Maghreb-Nachrichten reports from 20.03.2009: "In 5-th World Water Forum in Istanbul, the Libyan authorities for the first time presented the project for water supply worth 25 billion dollars. The project is called the "eighth wonder of the world" because it envisages the creation of an artificial river that supplied drinking water to the population of the north of Libya. Work was carried out with 80-ies. under the leadership of the Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. And now the project is implemented on 2 / 3.
Water should reach out to 4 000 km, and on it the water from underground storage tanks under the desert will flow to the north. Studies have shown that the project is more economical than the alternatives. According to calculations, the water reserves will last for 4 860 years, if the States concerned, Libya, Sudan, Chad and Egypt will use water as required by the project. "
This project could generate a real "green revolution" in Africa, to make this dry continent currently blooming garden, destroy poverty, hunger and poverty, the African population.
And all this without a single cent from the IMF and other international financial organizations and corporations that control the reserves and production of fresh water on the planet. But, more importantly, the project helped in the case of the economic stability and the independence of African countries.
Naturally, this is not like the West, and he solved the problem radically, under the guise of quite different reasons. Fortunately, global experience from the IMF and transnational corporations at that time already was.
Multinationals are extremely active in the privatization of water.
According to the Masons Water Yearbook 2004 / 5, 545 million people (9% of the world population) already receive water from private providers dosimeters and at market prices. Argentina and Bolivia, first getting involved in it, immediately abandoned water privatization schemes.
Privatization of water goes only by the World Bank and those who stand behind them.
The largest privatization of water:
- Suez, 117.4 million;
- Veolia Environnement (Vivendi), 108.2 million;
- RWE, 69.5 million (before selling its major water subsidiary, Thames Water, to Kemble Water)
-Aguas De Barcelona (35.2 million);
- SAUR (33.5 million);
- United Utilities (22.1 million).
In 1984, the World Bank and the IMF blocked the drainage project Sudd swamps and water channel, "the White Nile" in Southern Sudan could turn into a blooming garden, Egypt and Sudan. Under the existing scheme in the region first arose separatist manifestations, quickly grew into a civil war and the collapse of a single state. In addition to international organizations, the arm attached to these events, and Israel is not interested in the prosperity and the strengthening of Egypt, but very interested in cheap South Sudan's oil. 360 km was built from the planned 240 km channel.
In Syria, the situation is more complicated. Fresh water here is one of the power to pressure Assad's methods for solving the problems of the West.
Since its inception, the Syrian Arab Republic has had one major source of fresh water - the Tiberias Lake (Kinneret Lake) on the Golan Heights. The coast of Lake Syria shared with Israel. Under a far-fetched pretense, Syria allegedly is building an Irrigation system that is not coordinated with Israel (although Israel also did not coordinate its system with Syria), and also incorrectly and negligently refers to water supplies, Israel, with Lake Kinneret providing a third of all freshwater consumption (natural, "Sweet", as they say in Israel), seized and then annexed the Golan Heights during the Six-Day War, thus depriving Syria of the main source of fresh water at that time.
Naturally, the interest of Israel in the current conflict in Syria - by supporting the banned LIH in Russia and Turkey to achieve the dismemberment of Syria and disintegration of the state, and thereby legitimize its annexation of the Golan Heights to the Sea of Galilee. Make a meaningless resolution of the UN Security Council on December 17 1981 years of Syrian sovereignty over the Golan and make them de jure part of Israel.
Turkey uses fresh water factor in the war against al-Assad is much bigger.
In 1970-ies on the Euphrates in Syria, the dam and the reservoir named Assad was built in 1980-x Turkey began to build the dam Ataturk, one of the 22-x dams on the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, originating in Turkey and flowing through Syria and Iraq and flow into the Persian Gulf.
Historically, the control of the Euphrates was in the center of the conflict between Turkey on the one hand, and Syria and Iraq on the other. Turkey insisted that the Euphrates - "cross-border river" rather than "international river", and therefore not covered by the rules of international law. Turkey is also one of three countries (along with China and Burundi) have not signed the international convention on the use of international watercourses, adopted by the UN General Assembly in the year 1997.
In 1987 was reached a temporary agreement between Syria and Turkey, according to which, pending the conclusion of a permanent agreement on the division of water resources of the river, Turkey was obliged to throw in the Euphrates 500 cubic meters of water per second. Constant agreement was not signed. Syria has registered the existing agreement in the UN, in the hope that it will guarantee the Iraq and the minimum level of protection for the rights to the water of the Euphrates.
But Syria is not saved. Turkey became sharply limit the passage of water to Syria.
Very quickly, half of the water of the Euphrates, falls into Syria, became to remain in Turkey. As the level of the fall of the Euphrates on Syrian territory expanded drilling pirate artesian wells, which ultimately led to the depletion of the aquifer.
In April 2014, Turkey fully stopped discharge of water into a "sea of Assad", and the reservoir itself, as well as a dam on the Tigris were captured LIH (banned in Russia). This has led many analysts to talk about the beginning of World War II and the Apocalypse, because, according to many prophecies, Apocalypse will begin from the time the overlap of the Euphrates by Turkey.
In conjunction with the terrible drought 2008-11 years (hello from the meteorological weapons and the HAARP), Syria from the country - the country became an exporter of wheat - the importer, the people became refugees (about 20 million) and poured first in the city, and then to Europe .
Now most of the water sources in Syria are under the control of the LIH (banned in Russia), and he, along with Turkey, is regulated by the water flow of refugees from Syria and Iraq to Europe.
As written Ayala Tamra - professional geographer and environmentalist, founder of the environmental department at the Ministry of Infrastructure of Israel:
"We should also understand that this war wave of emigration caused by lack of water, represent only a fraction of wars and migrations of peoples due to apocalyptic shortage of water, which will have a huge impact on future generations ..."
I only gave examples of Middle East and North regions. However, such a problem is very much concerned, and our country, Russia, winner of the biggest fresh water reserves in the world. And as soon as InfoSpace start wiggling about projects related to our rivers and lakes, such as the Siberian rivers and Lake Baikal, then for them there are always Western interests, the IMF, the World Bank and transnational corporations. They will do anything for the sake of control over the future of the most expensive resource - fresh water.
