Kenyans took all the gold of Cyprus

Last weekend was held in Limassol on the island's largest event in athletics - marathon Opap Limassol-GSO. Organizers have announced that the main marathon, half-marathon and won the Kenyan athletes.

Edwin Kiyeng Kiprop (Kenya) finished with the result of the main marathon 2: 15: 04. In second place was Kenyan Kip Bivot Wycliffe, and the third - our countryman Pavel Borodin.

In the women competition Gladys Yepkurui from Kenya won with a score of 2: 40: 41, beating the Polish runner Dagmar Anna Handzlik (2 place) and Kenyan athlete Hellen Dzhepkos Kimutay (3 place).

Half Marathon won the Kenyan Joel Maina Mwangi with a new record (1: 02: 52). In the women's half-marathon race athlete from Kenya Stella Dzhep Barsozio won the distance, also setting a new record (1: 09: 31).

Marathon Opap Limassol-GSO first time this year was held for two days. It was a record number of participants, collecting 15 000 61 sports enthusiasts from the country.
