Over the next two years, the Cyprus authorities will issue more than 300 land in Nicosia, Limassol and Paphos to refugees, Cyprus Mail reports citing a statement by the Cyprus Ministry of the Interior.
What kind of refugees in question, Cyprus Mail did not specify. Most likely we are talking about the Greek Cypriots who immigrated from the northern part of Cyprus.
The Government of Cyprus will provide "refugees" with 349 land plots by the end of 2019 for the construction of housing and resettlement. 35 land plots in Cyprus have already been granted last year, 103 will be issued in this, the remainder - in 2019.
These plots were planned to be given back in 2008-2013. with the administration of President Dimitris Christofias, but the previous government did not address this issue.
