50 Cypriot will participate in the Women in Business program of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, which will help them develop management skills and succeed in their business. The goal of the program is to reduce the disparity between men and women in business and to promote the idea of women's entrepreneurship in Cyprus, Cyprus News Agency reported.
The program is aimed at leaders of small and medium-sized enterprises of the Republic of Cyprus and is funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Regional Development Fund. Appropriate arrangements have been reached between these two structures and the Ministry of Energy, Trade, Industry and Tourism of the Republic of Cyprus in May 2017.
The program "Women in Business" will be implemented during 2018-2020. Its participants will be able to master the management skills of the team, they will help to identify the problems that their companies face, and suggest ways to solve them. The program aims to inspire Cypriot women with the confidence that they will be able to create their own business or succeed in the already existing ones.
