The Ministry of Defense warns that the sole responsibility of the sabotage of the peace process in Syria will be exclusively the American side, said the official representative of the military department, Major-General Igor Konashenkov.
He noted that the Ministry of Defense predicts an attempt to break the peace agreement in the southern zone of de-escalation in Syria after moving 600 militants and two columns with medicines there. This serious reinforcement, according to Konashenkov, came with the goodwill of the United States, RIA Novosti reported.
"The sole responsibility for such sabotage of the peace process will be borne exclusively by the American side," Konashenkov said.
He said that in the southern zone of de-escalation in the At-Tanf area there was a "strange" case: 600 militants left there and received humanitarian aid in the settlements, which are controlled by the "sleeping cells" of "Jebhat an Nusra". This happened on 2-3 October. Departure was organized, on off-road cars. The militants overcame more than 300 kilometers and drove through the former customs station of Tafas on the Syrian-Jordanian border to the southern zone of de-escalation in the province of Deraa.
Almost at the same time, Konashenkov noted, two convoys with medicines and products, which were intended for the local population, entered the de-escalation zone. However, humanitarian aid was unloaded and was taken from the militants. In this case, the settlements are under the control of the "sleeping cells" of "Djebhat an Nusra", and the militants who arrived from At-Tanf had to "either join these" cells "in clashes for medicines and products, or act together with them."
"We suggest to the American side to clarify and for another fact of its" selective blindness "regarding the militants operating under their noses," Konashenkov said.
According to him, the Russian military department did not receive an answer, as about 300 militants of the "Islamic state *" leaked out through the US-controlled zone in the Syrian At-Tanf, trying to block the Damascus-Deir-ez-Zor route.
Konashenkov noted on the eve that the United States and the coalition led by them sharply reduced the intensity of attacks on Iraqi I * in Iraq with the start of the Syrian military operation to liberate the province of Deir ez Zor, which he described as "strange."
