In Cyprus, children began to enroll in school for the next academic year

From 9 on 11 January, children are recorded in pre-school educational institutions (prodimotics) and primary school (dimotiki) at the 2018-2019 school year. According to the Ministry of Education, the deadline for submission of documents will not be extended.

Pre-school institutions accept children, who until 1 September 2018 year will be 4 years and 8 months. It is noted that attendance at pre-school institutions is compulsory.

In the first grade of primary school, children are accepted who by 1 September 2018 will be full 5 years and 8 months. To enroll in the first class is obligatory to the school at the place of residence, but later the child can be transferred to another school.
