Non-performing loans in Cyprus rose to € 26,5 billion

Data of the Central Bank of Cyprus show that non-performing loans in Cyprus rose to € 26,5 billion., Reflecting a significant deterioration in the economic environment.

For commercial banks, non-performing loans (NPL) are 40,85% of their loan portfolio, for cooperatives 47,47%.

At the same time, according to the Central Bank, more than three out of 10 mortgage loans are non-performing - 33,38% for banks and 35,21% for cooperatives.
