A decent Cypriot returned a forgotten bag with 1 600 euros in cash

On Friday, a resident of Limassol (SigmaLive cites only his name - Stelios) went to a supermarket in Germassoye. He took the cart, which contained several advertising leaflets. When Stelios decided to throw out the brochures, he found a bag under them. After making purchases, Stelios opened the bag and saw an envelope with 1600 euro. The man took the bag to the nearest police station.

In the evening, the owner of the money called his mobile phone. He thanked Stelios and told that 1600 euros were collected urgently to pay for the services of a private clinic where his newborn baby is in an intensive care incubator.
