The Greek government has presented a bill on "gender free", reports Associated Press.
Under current law, Greek citizens who want to change the documented sex, have to prove that they had a sex-change operation and undergo a psychiatric examination.
According to the innovations proposed by the Greek government, every citizen will be able to freely determine their "gender identity", stated in official documents, regardless of actual gender.
The bill was published for public debate, and will be submitted to Parliament after 12 of June.
It is unknown how the bill will be passed by the parliament and the Greek society, the majority of people who call themselves Orthodox.
It is also unclear how innovations affect the compulsory military service, which operates in the country for all the men who have reached the age of majority.
