During the first six months of 2017, the cost of housing in Cyprus continued to grow, with both the number of local and foreign buyers increasing. In the first half of this year, sales to local customers grew by 13%, and foreigners - by 44%, according to the portal Financial Mirror.
Pathos leads in the number of transactions committed by foreigners: it accounts for 36,5% of transactions. It is followed by Limassol (35,4%), Larnaca (+ 16,3%), Nicosia (6,7%) and Famagusta (5,1%). The number of contracts signed by the Land Department with foreigners in Paphos increased by 72%, and in Limassol - by 60%.
Also Paphos is the Cypriot leader of foreigners who are looking for premium villas on the sea, as well as modern apartments in complexes with security and service.
