President Vladimir Putin called the deceased on Monday Russia's ambassador to the UN Vitaly Churkin one of the most prominent diplomats, who brilliantly solved the tasks entrusted to it and does not know defeat.
"His untimely departure from life - hard, really irreplaceable loss for Russia's foreign policy", - Putin wrote in a telegram to relatives diplomat.
The President noted that Churkin was "without exaggeration one of the most prominent diplomats," he enjoyed the sincere respect of colleagues and a great reputation among foreign partners, reports TASS.
Putin stressed that Churkin over 10 years, sometimes in extremely stressful conditions firmly and consistently defended the position of Russia, which required tremendous effort and dedication.
"As difficult as neither had, he brilliantly solved the tasks and did not know the losses", - said the president.
Vitaly Churkin, died Monday at the workplace due to problems with the heart, the day before his birthday, 65.
