Putin sent a personal letter to the President of Cyprus

Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades on Tuesday received at the presidential palace Chairman of the Russian Supreme Court Vyacheslav Lebedev, who conveyed a personal message from Russian President Vladimir Putin, informs the press and information bureau government of Cyprus.

Lebedev said after the meeting that gave Anastasiadis oral Putin's personal message, which relates to the intention "to further development of relations between the two countries, and expressed great appreciation for the implementation of all the agreements that were reached during the visit of President Anastasiadis in Russia in February 2015 years."

In an interview with reporters Lebedev said that for the first time in the history of Cyprus and the Russian Federation there is a judicial cooperation, and earlier on Tuesday he exchanged views with the President of the Supreme Court of Cyprus on issues related to the functioning of the judiciary in both countries. Lebedev added that the supposed exchange of information, including court decisions, in order to further improve the judicial system.

Lebedev expressed confidence that "the relationship of the judiciary of the two countries will develop", noting the close ties of the two nations in all fields.
