Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with Jordan's King Abdullah II, the Kremlin's press service said.
The initiator of the conversation was Jordan, according to the Kremlin website.
The parties discussed the situation in the Middle East, "primarily in the context of the common efforts to combat international terrorism."
Russia and Jordan noted the importance of the Memorandum signed by them on the establishment of a de-escalation zone in south-west Syria for further settlement in the RAA and establishment of a truce in other Syrian regions.
4 July, a source in one of the delegations in Astana said that compliance with the ceasefire in the zones of de-escalation in Syria will be monitored from two monitoring centers - the Jordanian-Russian-American and Turkish-Russian.
