Russian research vessel left port of Cyprus

The crew of the oceanographic research vessel of the Baltic Fleet "Admiral Vladimirsky", fulfilling the tasks of the hydrographic campaign, replenished reserves in Cyprus and headed for Kronstadt, to the place of permanent basing, the representative of the Baltic Fleet, Captain First Rank Roman Martov, said.

"The scientific research vessel of the Baltic Fleet, Admiral Vladimirsky, making a hydrographic campaign, returns to the point of permanent basing - the port of Kronstadt in the Leningrad Region.The vessel has now left the port of Limassol (Cyprus), where it replenished its reserves to the established standards, and headed for the port Kronstadt, "Martov said.

According to him, the crew continues to carry out oceanographic research along the way - it makes a route survey of the seabed, examines the anchorage points, collects information for the correction of navigational charts, guides and manuals for navigation.

"Admiral Vladimirsky" left Kronstadt 6 April. In the framework of a single voyage the crew of the oceanographic vessel of the Baltic Fleet visited the ports of the Republic of Djibouti, the Principality of Monaco.
