Turkish fleet blocks Cyprus drilling platform

Turkish military vessels blocked the passage of the floating drilling platform The Saipem 12000, which was sent for exploration drilling at another section in the exclusive economic zone of the Republic of Cyprus, the Cyprus authorities reported.

The platform, owned by the Eni oil and gas company, was used for exploratory drilling in block No.3.

Tomorrow, one of the leaders of the company Eni will fly to Cyprus for talks with the Turkish side.

Recall that last week the company Eni reported that it found supplies of so-called dry natural gas - gas of excellent quality at the site number 6 in the exclusive economic zone of the Republic of Cyprus.
