During today's official visit to Kiev, the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that the project to build a gas pipeline "Turkish Stream" will be built in accordance with the interests of Turkey, and is not directed against Ukraine, which is worried that as a result significantly reduce the volume of pumping Russian gas through Ukrainian territory - and as a result, the state budget does not receive less money for transit.
"We consider all the projects from the point of view of our national interest and energy security. We have no intention to implement these projects through the steps that are directed against any country, "- said the Turkish prime minister, according to which is completely wrong to put the question" which side Turkey "when discussing energy projects on the territory of the republic. According to him, Turkey - on its side.
Cavusoglu also said that he discussed with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko of Ukraine's possible participation in the project TANAP pipeline.
According to Cavusoglu, the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Moscow and Kiev in the coming months, but has not yet determined the exact date of the visit.
Earlier, Russia and Turkey have ratified the agreement on the "Turkish Stream". The last point on the merits delivered Russian President Vladimir Putin, who in February 7 put his signature on the corresponding document.
The Turkish Stream gas pipeline must be laid along the bottom of the Black Sea from the Russian Federation (from the Russkaya compressor station in the Krasnodar Territory) to the receiving terminal on the Turkish coast. The pipeline will consist of two strings with a maximum throughput of 15,75 billion cubic meters of gas per year each. One of them will be designed to supply Turkish consumers, the second - for transporting fuel to the border with Greece and, possibly, further - to the southern European countries. The length of the underwater section of the gas main will be about 920 kilometers, the transit land - about 200 km.
Begin to build a "Turkish Stream" later this year. Commissioning of the gas pipeline is scheduled for December 30 2019 years. However, the Russian authorities announced that the construction of a branch, on which the Russian gas could go to Europe, will begin only after the follow assurances from the EU that Russian gas will be in demand.
Total construction of the TANAP gas pipeline, which will run from the Georgian-Turkish border to the western border of Turkey, is estimated at 8,5 billion dollars. For the gas transmission pipeline will be transported to the "blue fuel" from Azerbaijani field "Shah Deniz". In the first stage of building an annual capacity of TANAP gas pipeline should reach 16 billion cubic meters of gas: one 6 billion intended for consumers Turkey, 10 billion cubic meters - to European consumers.
