Greece is preparing to reform education

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras held a meeting at the Education Ministry, after which introduced 5 areas in which reform of the educational system of the country will be carried out.

The changes relate to:

  • primary school (Πρωτοβάθμια Εκπαίδευση)
  • secondary education (Κατώτερη Δευτεροβάθμια Εκπαίδευση)
  • the order of admission to higher education institutions

In addition, it planned maintenance and investment, which will focus on the modernization of universities and research centers.

The Prime Minister noted that the planned abolition of public examinations, the introduction of the certificate, change the educational program in high schools, as well as the introduction of prodlenki in government primary school education.

"We want to ensure that the learning process took place in educational institutions, and not on the course and with private teachers," - said Tsipras.

The Prime Minister also said that the number of schools where free food seems learners will be doubled from September this year.
