A new historical museum will be opened in Hurghada until the end of 2018, RIA Novosti reported, the governor of the Red Sea province, Ahmed Abdallah.
"At the end of 2018, we are planning to open a new museum in Hurghada, which will be dedicated to the heritage of Ancient Egypt. It will certainly be much more modest than the museum that is in Cairo, especially that which is already under construction in Giza, but it will also be represented significant historical exhibits, including some of the storages of the Cairo Museum, "the source said.
Abdullah said that the resort is also preparing for the opening of a new stadium and a new University.
"I want to make sure that tourists come to Hurghada not only for the sake of the sea and the sun, but also in order to learn something new and useful," said Abdallah.
The first stage of the Great Egyptian Museum, being built in the area of the Giza pyramids complex near Cairo, should open for visitors in the second half of the year.
