As a result of the attack on the bus with Christians in the south of Egypt, 23 people were killed, 25 was injured, Egyptian Ministry of Health spokesman Khaled Mogahed said.

On Friday, a bus was fired from the Coptic Christians to the monastery from Beni-Swife in the province of El Minya in southern Egypt. The attack occurred near the monastery of St. Samuel to the west of the village of El-Adavva.
According to eyewitnesses, the attack was carried out by 10 militants, who approached the bus on two cars. The clothing of the terrorists resembled that of the Egyptian military.
The deputy of the Egyptian parliament from the province of El-Minya Magdi Maliak expressed the opinion that the attack was a planned action, since this route of Christians and the day of their movement are traditional and well-known.
