The Gospel of Luke tells how the resurrected Jesus met his disciples and said to them: "So it is written, and so it was necessary for Christ to suffer, to rise from the dead on the third day, and to preach in his name repentance and the forgiveness of sins in all nations, beginning with Jerusalem. You are witnesses of this. And I will send the promise of my Father to you; But you must remain in the city of Jerusalem, until you are endued with power from on high "(Luke 24: 46-49). "And he gathered them together, and commanded them," Depart not from Jerusalem, but wait for what was promised from the Father, which you heard from me, for John baptized with water, and you, a few days after, will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. " Therefore, when they came together, they asked Him, saying, "Is not this time, O Lord, that you restore the kingdom to Israel?" He said to them: It is not your business to know the times or the terms that the Father has placed in His power, but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and ye shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even unto the ends of the earth. Saying this, He arose in their eyes, and a cloud took Him out of their sight. "(Acts 1: 4-9).
The Evangelist Matthew continues: "... eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had commanded, and when they saw Him, they worshiped Him, and some doubted. And Jesus came near, and said, "All authority is given to me in heaven and on earth." Go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you alway, even to the end of the age "(Mt. 28: 16-20). And again Luke writes: "... He led them out of the city to Bethany, and lifting up His hands, He blessed them. And, when he blessed them, he began to distance himself from them and ascended to heaven. They worshiped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy "(Luke 24: 50-53).
Thus ascended into heaven He Who held the heavens in Himself. He who carried the hell in himself, will go to hell, but he who carried heaven in his soul will ascend into heaven. Indeed, no one can ascend to heaven except those in whom there is heaven; and no one will go to hell, except those in whom there is hell. The relative reaches out to a relative and connects with a relative; and not a kindred refuses. Materia submits to the spirit as much as the human soul is filled with God's Spirit. And the laws of nature are obedient to the moral law that governs the world. And since the Lord Jesus Christ is the fullness of the Holy Spirit and the perfection of the moral law, all matter, the whole physical world with all the laws of nature, is subordinated to Him.
Any person, as a spirit, can in my life to win over some law of nature with other law of nature, that is, to overcome it by his Spirit. Christ as the God-man, could conquer the laws of nature the law of the Spirit, which is the supreme law of the created world. However, this concept, like any spiritual concept, only partly be explained by the usual earthly ideas and arguments, and then only on the examples and comparisons.
Spiritual things only become clear and doubtless, when they see and feel the spirit. To see and feel the effects of the spiritual world, the need for lengthy and grueling spiritual exercises, after which, and by God's grace, a person can open the spiritual vision that allows to see what mere mortal seems improbable and impossible. However, one must first of all believe those who had seen an incredible, and every day to strengthen the faith and strive to see that the normal eyes is not available.
No wonder the Lord said: "Blessed are those who have not seen and believed." (John 20: 29). The Lord God rejoices in their faith, as the father on earth rejoices that the children believe every word of it. At the Ascension of Christ there were all the Apostles gathered on the mountain. It was their last meeting together. However, this was not the last appearance of Christ. Later he appeared in a vision to the apostle Paul on his way to Damascus, to the Apostle John on the island of Patmos, and to others, both to the apostles, and to the martyrs, prelates and confessors throughout the history of the Christian Church.
But one day, and that day is not far off when you see it all the righteous who firmly believed in him throughout his life. And gather about him in heaven, all those who are on earth was baptized in his name, not only water, but by the Spirit, and with fire. And they will enter into the joy of it, which the Heavenly Father has prepared all his elect, and accept joy unseen, unheard, unheard.
