For 10 years, the average salary in Cyprus increased by 0,4 euros per hour

According to the European Union's analytical center, Eurostat, in 2017, the average hourly wage in Cyprus was 14,3 euro. The hour of working time in Cyprus costs less than the EU average - 23,1 euro.

Of all the EU countries, employers pay the largest compensation for hours worked in Luxembourg (€ 43.8), Denmark (€ 38.7) and Belgium € 37.9). The lowest rates are in Bulgaria (€ 5.1), Romania (€ 5.5), Poland (€ 6.3), Hungary (€ 7.6), Lithuania (€ 8.4), Croatia (€ 8.5) and Latvia (€ 8.6).

The payment of working hours in Cyprus was 2017 euro in 14,3. The year before was 14,2 euro.

Almost in all EU countries salaries for 10 years have grown. Except Greece (decreased by 7% from € 12.1 to € 11.2 per hour) and the UK (also 7% from € 27.3 to € 25.5). The biggest increase was recorded in Bulgaria (122% from € 2.3 to € 5.1), Estonia (+ 67%), Slovakia and Lithuania (by 62%). In Cyprus, the growth of the hour spent in the workplace with 2007 in 2017. was insignificant - from 13,9 to 14,3 euro.
