During the visit of Serbian Defense Minister Alexander Vulin to Athens, a Note of Accession was signed, which concludes the process of Serbia's participation in the formation of the Helbrok combat tactical group (HELBROC BG, involving Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus, Ukraine); reported the press service of the Ministry of National Defense of Greece.

The combat group is formed on the basis of the Greek 71 airmobile brigade in Kilkis and can be used for the purposes of the European Union, the report says.

Minister of National Defense of Greece Panos Kammenos called the Greek and Serbian peoples fraternal, noting that they were together in difficult times.

"We must say that the Serbian people were the first victims of those who developed globalization, devastating the people." It is no accident that the International Court in The Hague justified President Slobodan Milosevic after his death, after he had suffered all this persecution for years. But they have passed, and I hope that they have become a lesson for everyone. You can not cooperate with terrorists attacking democratic states with democratically elected leaders. Now we see that some of them are close to the destabilizing forces of religious org and hope to open fire again in the Balkans, but now the international public opinion of the United Nations, Europe and NATO is against them, "Kammenos said.

He welcomed the signing of the act on the accession of Serbia to the combat tactical group led by Greece, with the participation of Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus and Ukraine.

"This event has a double meaning: on the one hand, this is regional cohesion for effective protection of our countries, and on the other, it strengthens the relationship of Serbia with developments in the field of European defense," the minister said, confirming the intention to strengthen military cooperation between the two countries.

According to him, Greece and Serbia together with other countries of the Balkans can play an important role in expanding the routes of energy supply to Europe.
